Holey Donuts. Bad? Good? Great? Giveaway! [CLOSED]
Nina SayI had a fun time trying every donut that the wonderful people at Holey Donuts sent me. They sent me a variety pack of cinnamon rolls, a variety pack of donuts, and six of their vanilla glazed donuts. I tried most of them (the ones I did not try were consumed by various family members.) and some I liked, some I loved, and some I just could not stand. Read below to see what I thought of each box set.
Cinnamon Roll Variety Pack - At least that is what the box said. It seemed like these Cinnamon Rolls were exactly the same, and I was not too fond of them. I shared the four buns with my husband, and my two sister in laws. None of us really cared for them, it seemed like there was bits of apple in them, and it did not really sit well with any of us. They would have been AMAZING if they were not filled with fruit bits. And what is with the title being "variety pack" when they were all exactly the same? One great thing about these cinnamon rolls, despite the apples, was the center. Gooey and soft just like I like them!
Variety Pack of Donuts - These were probably my favorite out of all of them. The only one I did not care for was the lemon filled, but that has nothing to do with Holey Donuts, I just do not care for lemon filling. But I figured I would try it, you know... just for the benefit of the doubt. But the chocolate, and cinnamon, and berry were delectably delicious! I had absolutely no complaints for any of these donuts, perfection in a simple cardboard box!
Vanilla Glazed Donuts - When I opened this box, I immediately thought "Simpsons?" These donuts seriously looked like they were straight from the Simpsons! These donuts were so extremely sweet. I ate one, but it hurt to bite or chew them. I guess if somebody has an extreme sweet tooth it will definitely hit the spot, but for me it was way too intense. But when you look at the health factors... this is an amazing treat! You can eat this and not have to worry about your pooch coming back! And in my opinion, it is a great breakfast, or afternoon snack for any kid. Your children will thank you later for feeding them such healthy options!
I also think that the way you order these donuts is fascinating! You order online, and they come to you in the mail in dry ice! They were frozen still when they arrived! What a great and innovative product. I cannot wait to try the donut holes!
