Bright Starts 14 Days of Laughter, Plus a Fun Giveaway! [CLOSED]
As all mothers know, there are many great times when raising children. As a mother, you witness things that you never want to forget, they become a part of you and who you are as a parent is molded by them. Nothing is better than witnessing a milestone and feeling your heart melt because your child did something completely adorable. This is what mothers live for, the laughter, the joy, the proud moments and the fact that every little event along the way shaped your family as a whole. There are certain products that have lead up to all of my "motherly stories", may it be a favorite toy or a bath time bubble bath, the things you buy really impact yours and your child's life.
It is very important to buy toys, playards and bouncers that are not only safe but are reliable and can stimulate many different areas of growth. This is where Bright Starts comes in, they have such quality products and I have been using their baby products since the moment my daughter was born, back in December of 2008. I have had the amazing opportunity to review the Bright Starts InGenuity Playard, and I absolutely love this product. You can never fully understand how great it is until you use it for yourself.
This playard came at the perfect time, we were in the process of moving and had not moved our daughters crib yet... so the playard was exactly what we needed until everything calmed down and was normal again. We have used different playards in the past, but my daughter hated every one of them. Well, surprise surprise, she loved this one. She would literally play all day in there, which she never does.
Look at it this way: she hates being stuck in any small, confined area yet she did not mind at all being in this playard. It was also much softer than any other portable crib she has ever used or experienced. She also slept very well every night she was in there, which is a very nice change. Usually travelling made her sleep schedule so screwy that we all suffered.
This whole review has added another great story to add to my list of heartfelt memories that I will relive many times throughout my daughters childhood... "Remember the playard that you just loved as a baby? Oh you were so cute... you would just play in there all day long..."
This brings me to the fun part, we are giving away one Bright Starts InGenuity Playard! There is only one simple step... so keep reading.

The first time my daughter looked at me and smiled because she knew it was her mom talking to her. It melted my heart!
The way my 5 month old son looks at my 2 year old daughter makes my heart melt. Anytime she comes into the room his face lights up, he sqeauls with delight and giggles. I wish it would be this way forever! It's priceless.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was holding my daughter in my arms and she startd to poop. Not a big deal, so I sat there and let her finish and she just kept going. I was getting ready to change her when all of the sudden I felt something wet. Well, that little wet spot turned into a puddle in my hands. Yip, I was holdin a puddle of liquid poop in my hands. She had leaked through her diaper and onto the front and back of her onsie. I was laughing so hard and trying not to spill anything on the couch!
When my daughter was about a week old, I was tending to her diaper in the middle of the night. She was breastfeed the first two weeks of her life before we had to throw in the towel due to low supply issues. So her diapers were still pretty runny.
I'm a first time mom and have never been around babies so diaper changing was new to me. I was standing at the foot of the table with her butt pointing toward me. I took off the dirty diaper, wiped her down and bent down to get the new diaper. As I was standing back up, a little bit of poop dribbled from her rear. I thought, "Tee hee, she's not done........... WAIT, SHE'S NOT DONE!" and then she took a breath and I jumped out of the way LITERALLY just in time to avoid a STREAM OF BABY POOP. She managed to spray it across the changing table and nailed a box of diaper wipes.. But I was completely clean thanks to my catlike reflexes. I doubled over laughing.
On the day my granddaughter was born, she smiled at me as though to say, I'm gonna love this lady...I went home from the hospital and pulled out the newborn pictures of my son. They were nearly identical.
Now, three years later, she still looks at me the same way. We are expecting another grandchild, sex unknown and I'm hoping this baby brings out the sunshine in me as my first grandchild.
My daughter never fails to make me laugh when she acts so dramatic when she's hungry. She will scream and wail pitifully right up until you stick the bottle in her mouth and even then she'll let out one last "Wah!" so she has the last word.
My 4 month old son just gave his first belly last week and that made laugh too! He had been doing chuckles, but then freezing like he didn't know what to do next. This time he totally let loose and it was like he couldn't stop laughing. I loved it!
My son always makes me laugh when I go to give him his bottle, he gets so excited and he cannot WAIT to get it in his mouth. He reaches his hands out to grab it and pulls it to his mouth as quickly as he can! Cute!
My baby always makes me smile when I go to get him out of the crib in the morning and he gives me the biggest grin and it just makes my heart melt into a million little pieces.
When my son first learned to laugh, it was the sweetest sound. My husband however had not heard the belly laughs yet. One day we were all in the kitchen. I was holding my son and teasing my husband because he could not stick out his tongue and go "pssst" (you know the way you do when you wrap your lips around your tongue and blow air so that your tongue makes that noise). Well my husband kept trying over and over again to do it, and I was laughing hysterically at him. My husband started to laugh really hard to. Then my son joined in with a huge belly laugh. It was the awesome, a huge family belly laugh. I loved it.
my son loves his pacifier and so i'm always telling him to remove it by saying "paci out". my sister has tought him the peace sign and to say "posse out". it's cute and funny.
My lil man melts my heart each and every day! Today matter of fact, when he woke up from his nap (he's 2) he wanted me to keep holding him. He put his arms around my neck, gave me kisses and squeezed me tightly. I love those precious moments!
We spent the wknd outside enjoying the beautiful sunshine (a much needed change from our drabby weather). We spent the day as a family, going to a local park w/a lake and feeding the ducks, we then went for lunch, ice cream and put-put golfing. We did all of this w/coupons and ended up spending only $35 for all that fun! My son has not quite got the hang of golfing just yet, but we sure enjoyed playing in the windy weather!
My son makes me laugh when he hives his "snorty face" to almost anything. Its not even when he doesnt like something. You never know when the snorty face is going to pop out. Happy or sad

My son is just learning how to use a spoon and eat. Today was the first time that he actually did it himself. He was covered from head to toe in yogurt......it was totally worth it though. For so long he has been wanting to do it all himself and now he can. I'm hoping that feeding time will get a little easier
I love seeing him learn new things and grow into s "Big Boy"

When my son was little his grandparents were babysitting him while my husband and I went on a date. He was bouncing in his doorway bouncer and started to poop. They didnt realize that he had filled his shorts so they just let him keep bouncing. A while later they saw something coming out of the top of his shirt on the back......yea....he had poo all up his back and coming out the top of his shirt. I was so excited that they were the ones watching him at that time so that they could clean it up :)
My little man mealts my heart each and every morning when I get him out of bed. When I hear him in his bed sating "mama mama" I just have to go and get him. and when i walk into his room he gives my the happiest smile and squeals.
This last weekend we were at a friends wedding. My little man was running around at the reception and "talking" to everyone. He was exploring for probably over a hour. Buy that time he was absolutely exhausted and whenever he gets exhausted he starts crawling instead of walking and then just lays down on the floor. Well one time he laid down on the floor and was playing with some random persons leg and shoe. It was so funny...the guy just looked down and gave him a funny look.
A month or so ago my husband broke his hand. My son isnt old enough to know what actually went wrong but he knew that Papa was hurting. He isnt normally a snuggler but all he wanted to do was snuggle with papa. It was so cool to see him "care" for his papa and make him feel better

I took my son to the toy store and told him that he can get a toy. Everything he picked out was expensive and I would tell him so. Finally after the 5th toy he pointed out to, he said to me, "Can you tell which ones aren't expensive?" I was taken by surprise that I started laughing.
My heart melted when my son told me that I was the best mommy ever and that he loved me very much.
It makes me smile whenever I see my 4 year old son give his baby sister, who is 4 months, a kiss and a hug before going to bed.
My little one is still "on his/her way" but it melts my heart when I feel him/her move.
Whenever my (almost) 8 week old daughter goes potty she makes this hilarious face that I call "Poopface". It NEVER fails to make me laugh!!!!
something that made me laugh we were at the bank and some ladies stopped and started talking to my daughter and rubbing her hand (she is two) and she looked at them and said "thats bizarre" hilarious. we all laughed
