Royal Envoy Collectors Edition Review

Thanks to the Game Review Network, I had the pleasure to review this terribly fun game called Royal Envoy™ Collectors Edition.

Check out the Official  trailer:

This game really brought a new aspect to the time management, resource management and money management type game. I have never played a game before in my life that incorporated all three of these genres of play and makes you attain a goal at the same time.

The story line of this game pulled me in right as I started playing it, and I am proud to say I am in love with this game.

I had to laugh in the beginning when the king decided to help the people of IslandShire because they make the things he loves most in life, how much more materialistic could he be? Nonetheless it was quite entertaining. I was also quite pleased when he told his blue-wigged assistant that the person that he wanted to help rebuilt IslandShire would not be someone in a silly wig, then he chose me! I felt quite accomplished that the king liked me so much as so leave such a great task in my hands.

When you get deep into the game play, you become immersed in the simple complexity of your tasks. It is your job to do things such as build cottages and sawmills, produce materials to build more housings... chop through roadblocks and collect the rent and taxes from your people. And when you are traveling from island to island you might even run into a cute pirate child.

The collectors edition comes with quite a few fun extras, which really impressed me:

  • Unique blend of time management and strategy
  • 9 delightful islands to rebuild
  • Great variety of homes and buildings to construct
  • Over 90 challenging levels with 8 bonus quests
  • Captivating storyline with charming and whimsical characters
  • Comprehensive guide
  • Making-of
  • Animated screensaver and gorgeous wallpapers
  • Original soundtracks

Are you ready to become obsessed with this great game? I am hooked and I know you will be too, or at least your kids might be!

You can download a demo and try the game for free here, and if you like it you can purchase this extensive game for $19.99.
