Overuse of affiliate link? I think so.

*EDIT*

Brandon was using a plugin which automatically adds predetermined links to his posts based on keywords. It was my misunderstanding and for that I apologize.

I love reading informational blog posts, I am one hundred percent committed to researching and doing everything I can to better my blog and to grow as a blogger.

I was recently browsing SeededBuzz looking for something to Buzz, and I came across an article called "Links to blogging traffic" on Brandon Connells blog. While the title is very straight forward... it seems as though he has added a disguise to his true motive. (Which was to gain referrals to a website called BlogClicker.com) As I started reading I thought it was probably one of those highly informational posts about how to improve your blog and build your traffic. But I was terribly wrong...

Half of this post sounded a bit like bragging.. then 1% was good facts about blogging and being successful (But they were very common knowledge facts.) The other 49% were text links to the SAME REFERRAL LINK! Jesus, that was so annoying. You really want referrals don't you Brandon? Try not to be so obvious next time. All of your links were so distracting I did not even bother to read the whole thing.

Overall you just seemed spammy. It was almost worse than filling in a Captcha on a blogger blog.

And yes... this is going to be a buzz on SeededBuzz.

Actually, the links you are talking about are added by BM Keywordlink. It is a plugin I use to automatically link specific words or phrases somewhere. In that specific case, I was using a blog traffic exchange program. It was not heavily promoting it whatsoever, but it is ok for you to have an opinion, no matter how misguided. Nice blog by the way...

I understand, but is there a way to not use that many links? It is "too much" so to speak.

Yes. And I just posted a followup blog about this issue. It is the plugin which I just reconfigured to only link the first appearance of the keyword.
