Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway[CLOSED]

Finally we have it! Part 3/3  of my Tropical Traditions reviews! (If you want to read the first two, here they are: 1,2.)

We had so much fun with the coconut oil, and we had a lot of fun baking with it and cooking! We went to the Free Coconut Recipes website and tried the following recipes:

Coconut-Chocolate No Bake Macaroons:

This was one of the simplest recipes I have ever attempted in my life, and for once I did not mess up at all!

It showed me the interesting ways to use the coconut oil- who knew you could melt it?

There are lots of delicious ways to use this oil, and if yummy coconut and chocolate is your cup of tea then this recipe is for you!

Double Chocolate Velvet Pancakes & Banana Love Sauce:

This one was all for me- I love pancakes but my husband will only eat them if he has been starved for a month. And what could be better than a double chocolate velvet pancake? And the oh so delicious banana love sauce.. MMM!

This recipe was a fun way to use the coconut oil and spice up my breakfast. Let me tell you it was just as easy as pouring cereal and milk into a bowl, just twice as delicious, and it could not be done without the coconut oil.

Almond Chocolate Chip Coconut Cookies:

These cookies were absolutely delicious, it combined my love of almonds with my love of chocolate chip cookies!

If you know how to bake cookies from scratch this recipe will be a piece of cake for you... unlike me. It took me three batches to get it right, but once it was perfected these cookies were absolutely delicious.

No questions asked.

I would also recommend these cookies to a special someone, you know your husband, your mom, your dad. Because trust me they will love them and they will know how much you care!

None of these delicious foods could have been made if it was not for the Coconut Oil. This coconut oil is one of a kind and unique, read this and you will be amazed:

This Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is a truly unrefined coconut oil. This coconut oil is made on Mt. Banahaw and surrounding areas from organic coconuts. Coconuts are used fresh (within 24-48 hours of harvest) from small family farms on Mt. Banahaw and other rural places in Quezon Province, the coconut capital of the Philippines. Only the highest quality coconuts are hand-picked from each harvest. The volcanic soil of Mt. Banahaw makes these organic coconuts some of the most nutritionally rich coconuts in the world! Testing done in independent laboratories reveals higher levels of phenolic antioxidants than other coconut oils. The fresh coconut meat is shredded (wet milled), and then cold-pressed using the water from inside the coconuts to make coconut milk. The milk is then allowed to sit for about half a day, while the oil naturally separates from the heavier water. The oil is then filtered from the curds (coconut solids). No chemical or high-heat treatment is used, and this oil contains no trans fatty acids. We do NOT mass produce this oil. It is made by families who are coconut farmers using old-fashioned traditional methods that have been used in the Philippines for hundreds of years. Our coconut trees and family producers are certified organic according to strict USDA standards. The families who produce the oil are also trained according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and re-certified each year. This high-grade Virgin Coconut Oil has a long shelf life due to the high antioxidant properties. The Gold Label standard is our highest standard for Virgin Coconut Oil. Read more.

The one funny fact I can give is this: my in laws are from the Philippines, and they say that coconut oil is used for massages! How fun would that be?

We are giving away one jar of coconut oil! Are you excited? I am!
