My Make-Shift Dress
Over the last week or so I have had to do laundry three or four times a day just because my daughter loves to rub all of her food, and anything sticky or dirty onto her clothes. It has been driving me insane!
Yesterday Bryan got his first paycheck from his new job, and it was pretty celebratory so we went to Target and decided to get a few things we have been needing. I am so happy to have a new toothbrush, and some sensitive toothpaste.. OH and I finally got a mouth guard so I stop grinding my teeth at night. Maybe that will stop my headaches! But anyways, on to the point.
We bought Zoey a few shirts and a few pairs of shorts because it is getting warmer and a lot of her clothes are getting a bit small... and just so I can tell you what I mean here is a great example:
Zoey is a tall baby so she is pretty thin, a lot of her clothes still fit around her waste they are just too short. We have been letting her wear a pair of 6 month pants because they fit her perfectly and look like capris pants! Ghetto... I know. But apparently I have no shame.
This morning I was getting her dressed and was about to put on a new pair of shorts and her new shirt but then I realized something... I refuse to put these new clothes on her and allow them to be ruined within two hours... so I put one of my tank tops on her. I knotted the straps in the back and made a cute dress! I must say I am rather proud of my craftiness!

I think my creation is cute! And if she decides to ruin my shirt, it is old and not important.
Much better than letting her ruin her brand new clothes!
And as you can see she has already made a little bit of a mess!
(This just proved that even if her clothes truly are baby deals, I still do not want them ruined!)

That's awesome! My kids do that all the time! It makes me so MAD!!!!!
Too funny. I can remember my mom doing stuff like that with me and my sister. I am sure I will use makeshift stuff with my kids to. Hey, why let them ruin boutique clothing when they can play in large t-shirts. Thanks for sharing.

Love the dress! Reminds me of American Apparel with its bold simplicity.
