Chilis Review and Shout out to Eat Out Contest!
Nina SayI recently had a delicious lunch/dinner... dunch? linner? Well anyways it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner but it was one great meal! We went to Chilis! Now I get to write a review based on the great time I had eating there!
We went on a special day, my sister in laws 10th birthday! It was only natural we take her out to eat on her birthday! She had finally hit the double digits!
We all studied the menu diligently and when we did we noticed a few things:
- The menu was very easy to read... nice colors and the font was big enough even for my eyes.
- The meals were categorized nicely, if you wanted salads, steaks, burgers or ribs you knew where to flip to.
- The pictures were beautiful, they made the food look very appetizing!
After we had all figured out what we wanted to eat we decided to order an appetizer first, so we ordered a favorite: Skillet Queso.
Nothing tastes better than the warm seasoned cheese with beef on delicious chips and salsa. Skillet Queso has been a favorite for quite a while and we get it every time we eat at Chilis.
After we devoured our appetizer we then were amazed with the meals we ordered. And these were the delicious meals we ate:
- For my husband, Flame Grilled Ribeye!
100% USDA Choice 12 oz. steak. Topped with seasoned butter. With your choice of two sides.
Bry got his steak medium well as always with a side of double loaded potatoes! When the steak came out he said it was perfect. They seasoned it just right and it was very tender. The loaded mashed potatoes were delicious as always as well!
- For me, The Southern Smokehouse Burger!
With maple bacon, smoked cheddar, mayo, crispy onion strings and ancho-chile BBQ sauce.
I have never tried this burger before, but I am glad I did. Normally I just order a steak, but I wanted to try something a little different this time. This burger was huge.. and I mean it when I say that. I had to squish it down to fit it into my mouth. It was delicious! The flavors all blended together make my stomach growl even though I was eating already.
My favorite part had to be the bacon though. I never in my life tasted bacon that sweet and I never in my life have eaten bacon so thick. I could not finish the burger... but when I could not eat anymore I still ate the remaining bacon! Too good to pass up!
- For the kids, Pepper Pals® Cheese Quesadillas and Pepper Pals® Little Chicken Crispers®!
I did not personally try these, because the kids devoured them too quickly. But according to them they were delicious and they loved them!
Our overall experience was very positive... we had a great waitress who had refills for us before our cups were half empty. Whoever made our Shirley Temples did an amazing job! And they put cherries in them with every refill.
This is why Chili's is my favorite restaurant!
