ChicBuds Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]
I got the AMAZING opportunity to review the ChicBuds earphones, and I absolutely love them. When I first got the package I came across some difficulties (silly ones really) the first being I could not get the plastic off of the adorable tin that they came in. DUH! There was a simple way to do it all along, and I didn’t realize it! Blonde-brunette moment. When I (finally) opened the tin I immediately pulled the headphones out to the farthest length. And this is where the fun started. I could not figure out how to retract the headphones and I went through an hour of untangling. So here is my suggestion to you, do not read the directions on the box, they are not clear and they caused me to tangle my earphones and I thought I had broken them before I even got to use them. But then I went to their website and found very good instructions on how to use the retraction system. You can find that here. I wish I would have read that also before I tried untangling it. If you own a pair of these, just practice with them. I know that sounds silly, but I am still working on it. But I love them too much to give up!
The Chicbuds I got looked a lot like the ones in this picture, except the graphic was not there, just the “Genuine Swarovski Crystals” It looks really pretty, you can see what they look like and purchase them here. At first I thought that they would fall off even with the slightest touch. So I tested it… I tried scraping, picking, rubbing… anything to get them off. And it did not work. Not one crystal from the retractor or the earpieces came off. And I mean it, they didn’t even budge. Which surprised me, I was very impressed.
This far in my review I finally got the hang of using the retraction mechanism, and I make sure the crystals weren’t going to fall off. Now time to try them out.
I hooked them up to my computer and put them in my ears. The first thing I noticed is they are really hard. They kind of hurt my ears. Maybe it is because I have tiny ears, but who knows. I kept using them, listening to music (The New Moon Soundtrack, to be exact) And, they sound great! I tested them with the earphones I had been using and they actually sound better. The only other issue was that the earpieces were kind of big, but then again I already mentioned that I have tiny ears. Now I use these every time I am on my computer to listen to music. They are a lifesaver because the speaker on my netbook is horrible and you cannot hear it to save your life.
Overall, these are great! I would recommend them to anybody. So here is what we are going to do, I am hosting a giveaway for the ChicBud Designer Series headphones. (Hey! Those are the ones in the photo!)
