I’m bringing the magic to Disney Land
My family and I are heading to Disney Land in just one day, and I am so excited! I must say, as a child I was spoiled rotten, and I had at least one trip to that magical kingdom a year… it was a family tradition. It was always my Mom and Dad, and my brother(s). It was always the one treat my parents gave to me that never got old. Yeah, there were lots of nice things as a kid… a toy when I got good grades, getting to go eat ice cream on the weekends for not fighting with my brother… but nothing ever topped Disney Land. Just like a lot of children Disney Land was a place that seemed like a dream come true. It was somewhere I got to escape from everything in my life that was boring… routine.
This is going to be my first time going to Disney Land without my parents, and it feels weird, but in a good way. I know that I am an adult now, but this is my first time going to Disney Land as the mother of the household… someone who can call the shots because I can.. it is my trip. I remember the last time I was at Disney, it was not too long ago… spring of 2008 right after I found out I was pregnant with Zoey. I was 17 still, and my family had decided to take a trip to Disney Land. That day is the day Bryan proposed to me… at Disney Land in front of Cinderellas castle. That had to be the happiest day of my life until Zoey was born. Bryan and I have known each other for a good while, he still remembers the first time he saw me as a child when I moved in next door to him.
This trip is for us, for our family and for our little girl. It is exciting to the both of us to be the parents making this trip magical for our daughter. We both have had our fair share of good times as a child, and just being able to remember those times makes me want to do everything in my power to give that to Zoey. I want to make sure she grows up and remembers these kinds of experiences and memories. I want her to feel like there is no feeling like the magic of Disney. It is now my turn to enjoy the day for her. No more focusing on myself and making sure I do everything I want to do… Zoey this is for you and I love you.

Funny we always made a yearly trek to Disneyland when I was little & as an only child it was a dream come true so ofcourse I had to continue with my daughter- yep once a year/ at least…
That is very cool! I hope you guys have a super wonderful full on magical time! I still remember dancing with Snow White as a child! Wishing you guys all the best at the Magic Kingdom!
